Russell Smart began his career in engineering, having earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1973. He later earned an M.B.A. degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1985. Russell spent 10 years with CRS Sirrine Company as a project engineer and project manager. In 1983, he was named Project Manager for development of Rolling Green Village Retirement Community, sponsored by the Greenville Baptist Association. In 1986, upon completion of the Rolling Green Village project, Russell joined Windsor Properties, and has been responsible for all financial matters since that time. His duties also include banking and lender relationships, short and long term planning and commercial property management. He is a past Chairman of the Greenville Baptist Retirement Community Trustees and current member of the Executive Boards of both the Blue Ridge Council and Southern Region of the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a Deacon and Treasurer at Roper Mountain Baptist Church.
