Now is the Perfect Time for a Scenic Drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Asheville has always been an attractive destination for people who want to enjoy the natural beauty of the leaves turning shades of crimson, gold, and orange.  Visitors come from near and far to see this environmental wonder that comes each autumn.  Perhaps the best way to enjoy this is by taking a cruise up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Built in 1935 as part of an effort to create jobs during the Great Depression, the Blue Ridge Parkway provides a way for people to enjoy the scenic beauty of this unique mountain region.  Along the way are view points that give the traveler and chance to stop and marvel at mountain views that go on for miles.  There are also unique places to stop such as the Folk Art Center where you can look at the wares of local craftsman or the Cradle of  Forestry which offers a history of how this area has preserved itself over the years.  You can also stop in one of the many little mountain towns and enjoy shopping and fine dining.

Windsor Aughtry has been building in this area for 25 years and we know that much of our success here can be credited to its natural beauty.  In other words it’s not hard to sell someone a home in a place with so much to offer.  So take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and you may decide you never want to leave and if you lived in one of our homes, you wouldn’t have to.  If you’d like more information about living in a Windsor Aughtry home, please contact a sales agent by using the e-mail form below.
