BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Michael Spiers joined Windsor/Aughtry in September 1992 and brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. His career has primarily centered around single-tenant retail development and third party brokerage, with a strong emphasis on site selection and investment properties for clients. In addition to his retail expertise, Michael is actively involved in land sales for both single-family and multifamily residential developments across the Upstate. His brokerage and development experience equips him to represent clients across a multitude of property types and assets.
Raised on a farm in Cameron, South Carolina, Michael has a deep appreciation for the outdoors, which has naturally led to his expertise in brokering large recreational and specialty tracts.
He is also a partner with Windsor Aughtry Hotel Group, where he plays a key role in the site selection and development of hotel properties within the group’s growing portfolio.

Outside the Office
Prior to joining Windsor Aughtry, Michael attended Clemson University, lettering in baseball from 1988-1991. During his collegiate career, he participated in the 1991 College World Series and contributed to two ACC Championship teams in 1989 and 1991. He was named MVP of the 1991 ACC Baseball Tournament and earned ACC Honor Roll recognition in 1989, 1990, and 1991. Following his playing career, Michael served as an assistant baseball coach at Clemson for two years.
Michael is married to Cheryl Spiers, and together they have three children: Michael Jr. (wife – Carter), Carson (wife – Anna), and Ellen. In his free time, he enjoys coaching youth baseball and other sports, as well as hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is an active member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Greenville.
