BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Michael joined Windsor/Aughtry in September of 1992. With 28 years of experience, he has primarily focused on single-tenant retail development and brokerage. He is the exclusive broker for Goodwill Industries of the Upstate/Midlands as well as the Upstate SC area exclusive broker for Bojangles Restaurants. In addition to being a retail site selection specialist, Michael is also involved in hotel development and site selection for hotels in urban markets throughout the US. Land sales for residential development, multifamily, and single family are also areas of expertise for him. Michael was raised on a farm and also has a passion for the outdoors which makes brokering large recreational tracts a niche of his.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Prior to joining Windsor Aughtry, Michael attended Clemson University and lettered in baseball from 1988-1991. While playing for Clemson, he participated in the College World Series in 1991 and was part of two ACC Championships in baseball – 1989 and 1991. Michael was selected MVP of the ACC Baseball Tournament in 1991 and a member of the ACC Honor Roll in 1989, 1990 and 1991. After his playing days, Michael was an assistant baseball coach at Clemson University for two years. Michael is married to Cheryl Spiers and they have three children, Michael Jr. (Wife – Carter), Carson, and Ellen. Outside of work, Michael enjoys coaching baseball and other sports. His hobbies include coaching, hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with his family. He is an active member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Greenville.
