Happy Fourth of July from Windsor Aughtry!

Get out the grill, the stars and stripes, and hit the lake because it’s that time of year again! After building new homes in western North Carolina for over 25 years, we have seen many Independence Days come and go and we believe there is no finer place to celebrate the Fourth than the greater Asheville area.  We want to make sure our residents have a happy and safe Fourth of July so here are just a few suggestions for local events to celebrate America.

Wolf Chase and River Stone Residents: 

Head on down to Historic Downtown Hendersonville for the Fourth of July Parade down Main Street which begins at 11 am followed by live music and family friendly events in Jackson Park at 2pm.  Then cap off your evening with a exciting fireworks display.

Riverwalk and Glen Coe Residents:

You can ring in the Fourth by heading to downtown Asheville where there will be live music and local food vendors in Pack Square Park.  There will be games for the kids and of course a Fireworks display after dusk.

Woodbriar Residents:

Drive on down to the Fire on the Lake Festival where there will be live music by Bluegrass great David Holt and the Lightning Bolts followed by a Fireworks Show. The music starts at 6 and the fireworks will start at 10pm.

Cedar Rock Village Residents:

For our Johnson City, Tennessee homeowners, check out the 28th annual Fireworks at Freedom Hall.  There will be live music  from Confederate Railroad and chances to win prizes including a August Bristol Race Ticket Package.  The festivities begin at 5 and the fireworks begin at 9:55.
