Celebrate the Holidays Western North Carolina Style!

After building single family homes in Asheville, North Carolina for over 25 years, Windsor Aughtry has seen the holiday season come and go many times.  Residents of our communities get to enjoy “the most wonderful time of the year” in a beautiful natural setting that many people come from far and wide to be a part of.  We think that western North Carolina is one of the best places to enjoy the holidays and here are a just a few of the area events that make the season bright.

Christmas at the Biltmore House: Celebrate the season in the nation’s largest private home.  Every year the Biltmore Estate decks the halls to make sure its guests have a December to remember.  There is no better time to check out western North Carolina’s most popular landmark.

Ginger Bread Houses at Grove Park Inn: Contestants from all over the country will gather for the 20th Annual Gingerbread House Competition on Saturday, November 17th.  The houses will be on display from November 20th through January 2, 2013. Check out this unique event; chances are you’ve never seen so many ginger bread houses in one place.

Find the Perfect Tree in Asheville: With the nearby Cradle of Forestry and the Arboretum, its only “natural” that Asheville is a great place to find just the right evergreen to liven up your home.  Many people come from as far away as Greenville and Charlotte to make a family outing out of selecting their tree in this scenic mountain town.

With all of its natural beauty and small town mountain charm, we think Asheville is as good a place as any to celebrate the holiday season.  Many people from far and wide take time out of their busy holiday schedules to make Asheville part of their Christmas season but residents of our communities get to be right here in the heart of it all.  If you would like to know more about how you can make western North Carolina your “home for the holidays” and beyond be sure to contact us using the form below.
