December Events in Western North Carolina

Windsor Aughtry has been building single family homes in the greater Asheville area for over twenty years. We believe that there is no finer place to celebrate the holidays than western North Carolina. With that in mind, we would like to let you know about some of the exciting events happening in the area during the month of December.

The First Annual Downtown Jingle Fest
December 4th

At 3pm in Reuter Terrace in Pack Square Park, there will be a traditional Christmas caroling brought to you by the Asheville Chorale Society.
The Asheville Ballet will perform numbers from The Nutcracker.
The Montford Park Players will be dressed as characters from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol
There will even be a visit from Santa Claus.
Afterward the festivities continue at Pack’s Tavern with music and hot toddies.

Biltmore Village Dickens Festival
December 3-5

Located just outside of Biltmore Estate, historic Biltmore Village transforms into a quaint Victorian village on the first weekend of December. Horse-drawn carriages will trot along classically decorated cobblestone streets as carolers, storytellers and instrumentalists stroll the village in period costumes. Enjoy fresh-roasted chestnuts, live music performances and excerpts from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol performed by the Montford Park Players.

The 22nd Annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam
December 10-11

Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers has another great line up this year featuring the Steve Miller Band, Gregg Allman, and the Drive By Truckers.

There will also be an art show at the Satellite Gallery from 12pm-6pm on December 10-11 that will feature photography and poster art.

Also during the day, will be Kevn Kinney’s Acoustic Jam at the LAB from 12pm to 5pm featuring Kevn Kinney of Drivin’ and Cryin’.

Windsor Aughtry would like to wish you a happy and safe holiday season!
