It’s Leaf Season in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina!

Every year people come from all over the southeast travel to this Appalachian region to see the natural beauty in this great mountain community.  Trees turn beautiful shades of orange, crimson, and yellow and make a drive up Interstate 26 or the Blue Ridge Parkway an annual tradition for “leaf lookers” from as far away as Florida and Alabama.  This weekend is a particularly good time to take advantage of this natural marvel.

This weekend outing provides an opportunity not only to enjoy this fall treasure but also a way to become acquainted with one of the most popular regions of this country.  The hills of western North Carolina and east Tennessee are loaded with charming small towns such as Weaverville and Jonesborough that offer nice bed and breakfasts and excellent fine dining all with a quaint main street feel.  You can also enjoy the artistic side of life with the Folk Art Center located on the Blue Ridge Parkway or the International Story Telling Center in Jonesborough, TN.

If you haven’t already taken advantage of this fun autumn tradition we would like to suggest that you mark it down on your calendar for this weekend.  Come see what so many have made this trip year after year.  Just in case you like it so much you don’t want to leave you can find more information about owning a home in this great area by using the e-mail form below.
